About Jeremy Nickel & The Vineyard House
The Vineyard House, owned by 2nd generation vintner Jeremy Nickel, is a historic Napa Valley estate rooted in legacy and sustainability. With a commitment to organic farming, minimal intervention winemaking, and stewardship of the land, the estate produces world-class Bordeaux varietals under the guidance of renowned winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky.
OUR HISTORY & ESTATE
Rooted in winemaking heritage since 1889, The Vineyard House sits on land once owned by H.W. Crabb, founder of the iconic To Kalon vineyard. Today, proprietor Jeremy Nickel—son of wine legend Gil Nickel—honors this legacy with a passion for preservation and innovation. Nestled in the renowned Halter Valley of western Oakville, the estate spans 43 acres, 22 of which are meticulously planted with Bordeaux varietals.
The Vineyard House brings together timeless vineyard practices and cutting-edge winemaking. With a shared commitment to excellence, Jeremy collaborates with viticulturalist Jim Barbour and acclaimed winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky to craft exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay—true expressions of Napa Valley’s finest.
